Five Starz Response to Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), NCVA

We hope that everyone is staying healthy during these unprecedented times. As you may be aware, the Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) has decided to cancel the remainder of the girl’s club volleyball season. We know that many were looking forward to getting back out on the courts as soon as possible, however it is in the best interest of everyone’s safety to cancel currently.

Our Five Starz club director has a meeting scheduled for April 15th with the NCVA which should give us some indication of any refund that the NCVA may be allowing for the season. Please have patience with us as we determine if a refund will be forthcoming to your families.

We will update families as soon as we receive any additional information.

We want to thank you for your patience, understanding, and support during this unprecedented time in our nation and community. We look forward to a happy and healthy 2020-2021 season and hope to see all of you back in the gym.

Sincerely,

Five Starz Volleyball Club

Five Starz Players & Parents:

Five Starz Response to Coronavirus disease (COVID-19)

As a direct result of the recent developments to COVID-19, Five Starz Volleyball Club (FSVC) has made the difficult, yet necessary choice, to suspend our season until further notice.

The Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) has requested all teams to stop practices through March 22 and has postponed all league events through March 28. Additionally, each of our practice sites have closed temporarily as well. The NCVA has not made any official statement regarding cancelling the Far Westerns Invitational (scheduled for the end of April), or the remainder of the indoor season.

Dues/ Payments – For all FSVC families who pay through our ‘dues plan’, your regular payment for March 15 is due, and will be collected as usual. Please note, FSVC’s dues plan is set up to charge in arrears and cover expenses such as coaches pay checks, and court rental fees for the previous 30 days. Should the season not resume, April and May dues will NOT BE COLLECTED, and those families who pre-paid their season dues in advance, would be entitled to partial refunds.

We will update families as soon as we receive any additional information. Please feel free to look for updates on FSVC’s website (www.fivestarzvolleyball.com).

We want to thank you for your patience, understanding, and support during this unprecedented time in our nation and community. We look forward to getting back out on the volleyball court as soon as practicable.

Sincerely,

Five Starz Volleyball Club

Proud of these girls...we had a target on our back because we entered this tourney the #1 seed.  Thankfully we did enough to stay in the GOLD division and finished at a respectable seed 4.  WORK, WORK, WORK, WORK TO BE DONE, DONE, DONE, DONE!

Amazing weekend of volleyball for the 17-Dana team at the Power League Regional Qualifier in Sacramento.  The girls started at Seed 5 and finished at Seed1.  An unfortunate loss in their second pool of play dropped them to Seed 17, but this loss actually ended up being a blessing because it placed them in the final pool with Seeds 1, 15, & 17, thus allowing them to challenge NorCal 17-1 Black for the #1 spot!  Thankfully ours girls rose to the occasion and brought some pretty great defense to the court.  Our blocking was the best we've seen all season and our back row came up with some amazing digs.  Our offense was on point and some tough and well placed serving helped seal the victory.  We coaches are super proud of the heart, tenacity, and elevation our girls brought to the floor.  Great job, ladies!  WE LOVE YOU!!!

16-Todd went 4 and 2 at the Regional Qualifier this past weekend in Clovis, however lost the key match in 3 sets to City Beach 16 Black on day 1. The team climbed back to 56th with a 3 and 1 performance on day 2 winning the 2nd pool handily. Standouts for the tournament were Breanna Davis with 48 digs and 52 assists, Malia DeCelle with 28 kills, 11 aces and 37 digs, and Zoe Hopkins with 12 Blocks, 21 Kills and a .426 hitting percentage. Next up is the Showcase in Las Vegas!
